Last updated: 16 March 2025
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website at https://halfpriceautorepair.org and the services provided by HalfPriceAutoRepair ("we", "us", "our"), based at 134 Dunmow Rd, Bishop's Stortford CM23 5HN, United Kingdom.
By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or services.
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
2. Use of our website
Our website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate contact and service enquiries. You may use the site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.
- Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its underlying systems.
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the site without our written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the website at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it is necessary for security or operational reasons.
3. Service bookings and quotations
Enquiries submitted through our website or by telephone do not constitute a binding contract. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of a booking in writing or verbally, and you confirm your agreement to proceed.
Any quotations or cost estimates provided are based on the information available at the time. If upon inspection the scope of work is found to differ materially from the original description, we will contact you before proceeding with any additional work and provide a revised estimate. We will not carry out additional work without your authorisation.
All prices are quoted inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
4. Our responsibilities
We will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, using appropriate tools, parts, and techniques. Where we use third-party parts, we will endeavour to use components of appropriate quality for your vehicle and the work being carried out.
We will communicate clearly throughout the service process. If an issue arises during work that affects the original scope or estimated cost, we will inform you before proceeding.
Completed work is covered by a standard workmanship guarantee. Please refer to our Refund Policy for details of what this covers and how to make a claim.
5. Your responsibilities
When engaging our services, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information about your vehicle and the issue you are experiencing, to the best of your knowledge.
- Collecting your vehicle within the agreed timeframe. If a vehicle is left with us beyond the agreed collection date without prior arrangement, a storage charge may apply.
- Ensuring you have the legal right to authorise repair work on the vehicle (i.e., you are the registered keeper or have the owner's permission).
- Settling any outstanding payment before the vehicle is released, unless a credit arrangement has been agreed in advance.
6. Limitation of liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any service or claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings left in a vehicle during servicing. We recommend removing valuables before leaving your vehicle with us.
We are not liable for pre-existing faults in your vehicle that were not part of the work we carried out, or for issues that arise from wear or deterioration unrelated to our work.

Our website may include links to third-party websites for reference or convenience. These links do not imply endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites. You access them at your own risk.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any consumer rights you hold under applicable law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our website or services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
